Dot NAME Domains

Introduced in 2001, the Dot NAME top-level domain extension is the only one supposed to be for personal web pages only. These domain names can include personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other titles people are known by. Initially, solely 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you planned to obtain john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Existing 3rd-level domain names remained running.

Through our firm, you can reserve your dot NAME domain for an interval between 1 and 10 years. You will be able to alter the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an active domain to our company if you acquire its EPP transfer code from the current registrar company and we will renew it when the transfer has been done. There are no special requirements on who can grab a dot NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the objective behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry may check who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain, the registration could be challenged.

The .NAME universal top-level extension is among the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no added cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or region with the precise spelling in your native language.
